The Wholesaler of the Year Award recognises a Sydney Markets fruit, vegetable or herb wholesaler who demonstrates a high degree of competence across a wide range of criteria including product quality, business presentation, product knowledge, customer service, branding and marketing.
All wholesalers who have a stall and trade in Sydney Markets GTA can be nominated or nominate for this Award.
Step 1: Each nominee will be required to support their nomination by providing Sydney Markets Limited (SML) with the contact details for 3 customers.
Step 2: The customers will be asked to complete an online survey assessing the wholesaler on their communication, quality of service, pricing and payment and product knowledge.
Step 3: All information will be gathered and scores tallied to determine the top four finalists for the Wholesaler of The Year Award.
Step 4: SML will conduct an inspection of the four finalists – judging on presentation, innovation, work health and safety, food safety and environmental policy and practices.
Step 5: The customers' scores for the four finalists will be collated together with SML's site assessments to determine the ultimate winner. The winner will be announced at the 2024 Fresh Awards event.
